can any “friends” fan tell me if the chandler & monica vegas episode takes place at the Rio???
sofre and I checked in at the rio on sunday night just a little after midnight. made sure when we booked we’d get a room with wi-fi. made sure when we checked-in there was wi-fi in the room. didn’t so got switched to other room, bargained, no extra charge for room on the 19th floor. got to 1936, got settled in, tried the internet. not working. call front desk, transferred to their it dept, try, try, try, not working. called back front desk, want to speak to manager, not available, wait for manager to call back. manager not returning call, getting pissed off. call back manager, offers to switch room because apparently no wi-fi on the 19th floor. wait for bell boy for a ½ hour, switch room. try wi-fi in 2010, not working, call back manager, getting really pissed off here. manager on-duty offers to switch us to masquerade tower, all rooms have wireless. wait for bell boy for 45 minutes, switch to room 22002. wi-fi not working, call back manager, tell her we are going to bed, problem better be fixed my morning (i don’t care about your complimentary coke!). got us a credit, but really tired after 4 hours of room switching and arguing.
morning comes too early. go to front desk, go to business center, go to meetings. find out there is no such thing as room with wi-fi at the rio. go figure. try wi-fi in 2008, not working. moved back to 1936, best suite in the hotel, nice fluffy bed, down, robes, plasma, etc. etc. etc. more meetings, pool, tan, dinner, drinks, tv. the strip is next.
