i wish i could
this journey began with a raven (bringer of magic and light, creation and knowledge). then in death valley, we met with a friendly coyote ("the trickster", humor, charm, folly of self-deception and survival). there was a crater. there was a sand storm. there were hawks (strength, foresight, truth). once out of the desert, there were crows (sacred law, gateway to supernatural, shape shifting, illusion). there were pelicans in kernville (abundance, plenty). upon request, sea lions (inquisitiveness, organization, contentment) manifested themselves on the wharf in santa cruz. and then again, on the sandy beach of monterey, this time in their natural habitat. on the 24th, right outside of monterey, a deer (gentleness, compassion and kindness) crossed our path. on the morning of the 25th, there were half a dozen hummingbirds (pure love and joy, celebration of life) in the tree outside the door. and then, a phoenix (immortal, invincible, fire and divinity). on the coast, heading south, there were cranes (water, end of summer, migration). twice, there were rabbits (fear, overcoming limiting beliefs), inviting us to follow their path or take a break (big sur, santa barbara). and for the rest of the journey, the late monarchs (self transformation, balance, grace) were just reaching the end of their migration. the end was marked by many roadkills, we referred to it as skunk season on the highway (reputation, respect, caution). one of the last encounters with nature somewhere on the 1, an opossum (strategy and diversion). there were owls (clairvoyance, magic, astral projection) one on the first day, one on the last.
night. desert. heat. mountains. sand dunes. curvy road. snow. valleys. canyons. forest of joshua trees. boulders. curvy roads again. sequoias. curvy road by rocky river. plains. more curves. coastal city. marsh. a good laugh in castroville. a touch of culture in salinas. sunset. coastal highway. lush green forest. cliffs. more mountains. and back to the monster.

Now i get it... les yeux aigusés !
